Spring Music Festival 2012

Spring Music Festival 2012
Saturday, April 14th, 2012, 9 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Sturgeon Bay, WI

Tutti Strings Private Music Studio, organized by Teacher Lori
Meyer, will be hosting a Spring Music Festival on Saturday, April
14th, 2012. This Spring Music Festival offers young Door County
Musicians who play violin, viola and cello the opportunity to play for a professional string
judge.

This year’s judge is Ms. Cyndee Giebler. Ms. Giebler lives and teaches in northeast
Wisconsin. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and received her master’s degree
from the University of St.Thomas. Currently she teaches strings in the Appleton Area School
District. In addition to teaching, she enjoys composing and arranging music for classroom
use, children’s chorus, elementary strings and beginning band.

Each student performer will receive written and verbal comments from the judge and all
performers will receive a music pin for participating. Best performances will be honored with
a special award at the May Recital. All levels of playing are welcome to perform and students
can choose the music they will play (with assistance from Lori Meyer). Music does not have
to be memorized.

A $20.00 participation fee is required. All fees are used to pay for festival
expenses. Deadline to register: Friday, April 6th, 2012.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the festival as door monitors, clean-up crew, etc. All
volunteer shifts are two hours. Volunteers receive a free lunch the day of the festival. Please
contact Lori Meyer with questions at: (920) 421-0753 or e-mail: tuttistringsstudio@att.net.
After the registration deadline each performer will be contacted with his/her official
performance time.
